Whilst eagerly awaiting and counting down the weeks to go before my daughter and her family arrive in the UK from South Africa on their annual holiday, my fiancée decided it was time to decorate and brighten up the house. Four hands are better than two, so I offered to help out and decided to take on the doors.
It was only after getting involved did I realise how randomly doors can be fitted. Some are hung well clear of the carpet or surface below, while others are fitted extremely close to the floor or dragging onto the carpet itself, and some may be fitted with rising hinges.
That was when I came up with the idea of a device that would easily slide under any door regardless of the surface below, allowing me to paint the bottom of the door accurately and adequately without spending time in preparing the floor surface below or risking contamination of the surface material below the door.
